Challenge:
FORUM Credit Union needed to upgrade its main boardroom's outdated audio/visual technology to support the new remote work requirements accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The existing setup, which was about 15 years old, hindered effective Zoom meetings, posing a challenge as half the employees worked remotely while the other half were on-site. The goal was to implement a modern, easy-to-use video conferencing system that could accommodate remote participants and support hybrid meetings.
Solution:
IDS designed a new Zoom Room system tailored to FORUM Credit Union’s needs. This included ceiling-mounted monitors, multiple screens at different levels and angles, and a sophisticated audio setup with acoustic echo cancellation and Bluetooth connectivity. The boardroom was equipped with ceiling speakers optimized for speech, and touch panels for easy control of the Zoom Room system. The updated technology facilitated better communication and collaboration, leading to more frequent use of the boardroom and a positive return on investment. The solution effectively bridged the gap between remote and on-site employees, enhancing overall productivity and connectivity.
