Challenge:

The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indian Reservation in Northeast Minnesota sought to upgrade their audiovisual technology across three community facilities, prompted by a grant obtained during the pandemic in Spring 2020. Initially, they installed displays which were Zoom-specific. However, as the project expanded to include the Min No Aya Win Human Services Center, the need for a platform-agnostic solution that was user-friendly and affordable became apparent.

Solution:

Systems integrator Interactive Digital Solutions (IDS) installed Avocor E Series interactive displays at the reservation, chosen for their platform-agnostic nature and ease of use. The E Series provided the desired "one touch to join" functionality for various virtual platforms, meeting the client's needs while remaining cost-effective. With great support from Avocor throughout the process, the installation included three 55” E Series displays in the Community Centres and eight in the Human Services Division. These displays are now used for council meetings, virtual sessions, and one-to-one calls, enhancing the reservation's technological capabilities with intuitive, interactive features.
